One-sentence summary
GB/T 20234.1-2023 is the foundational general standard for electric vehicle conductive charging connection sets, specifying requirements for AC (690 V / 250 A) and DC (1 500 V / 1 000 A) charging connectors in design, safety, and testing. Proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and under the jurisdiction of the National Technical Committee for Automotive Standardization (TC114), it was issued and effective on September 7, 2023.

Compliance Recommendations
- Product Design: Ensure rated voltage and current do not exceed the limits specified in Clause 1 (AC 690 V / 250 A, DC 1 500 V / 1 000 A).
- Interface Compatibility: Vehicle inlet and supply outlet contact arrangement and dimensions must comply with Clauses 6–8 to ensure interoperability.
- Type Testing: Complete all type test items per Clause 9 before product finalization, including dielectric strength, insulation resistance, temperature rise, and ingress protection.
- Standard Update Tracking: GB/T 20234.1-2023 supersedes GB/T 20234.1-2015; update technical documentation and product designs accordingly.
